New riders should not even consider riding with a passenger on the back. At least a year's riding experience is required before taking passengers.

When a passenger rides on a motorcycle, there should be a suitable passenger seat with an associated passenger back rest. Sometimes these backrests are associated with so-called Sissy Bars.

When you ride alone, one advantage of the Passenger Back Rest is that it can be used to strap luggage to the bike using bungee cords or nets.
